Partial service outage in IdP

For a period of approximately 2 minutes between 12:21 and 12:22 Eastern Time (17:21-17:22 UTC) some users may have experienced problems using secure.login.gov Based on data, this impacted under 1000 users. Any user who encountered an error would have been able to try again after the partial outage in order to complete their request.

The cause appears to have been a brief networking issue. We are monitoring the situation.
